So, why an innovation Lab?
Innovation is the heartbeat of every Think-iteer. To foster that passion we took inspiration from other innovation departments like Alphabet’s X and Amazon’s Lab126, to set up a dedicated time and resource to internal innovation projects (and do it the way only Think-it can). We use that time to explore, build, analyze, and validate innovations that push Think-it (and others) forward.
What our innovation lab has built
An app to improve operational and administrative tasks
We created an app to allow all Think-it employees a single place to manage all their tools and administrative tasks.
An automated solution to verify coding skills
We created a SaaS to validate potential Think-iteers technical skills.
Simplifying talent matching through GenAI
We created a GenAI chatbot for Planetir to find the best candidate for job openings.
What guides our work
Empowerment
The Innovation Lab acts as a conduit of information and resources to help Think-iteers working on innovation initiatives with technical knowledge, growth, and coaching.
Open Innovation
A main differentiation of the Lab is to also produce Open Innovation, meaning contributing to important open source projects such as the Eclipse Dataspace Components and Kubernetes.
Strategic interests
The Innovation Lab focuses our efforts through Program Areas and Special Interest Groups to manage and lead our work.
